PostHeaderIcon Apply for college! What if the dead line to apply for college ends before I graduate from high school?

college on line

There are some colleges with the dead line to apply on 1st January. At that time, I will only be going nearly half of my school year as a high school senior. What scores should I send and can I supplement other requiring scores later?
I should add here that I’m trying to apply for Harvard College.
Please help me. Thank you

Your counselor at school will be able to tell you the answers to your questions and he/she will know answers specific for Harvard. Unless something has changed recently, you always have to apply before your high school years are finished.

Don’t worry. Go talk to your counselor on Monday. Good Luck!

lol you apply the first semester of your senior year while your still in school. basically the school sends your first quarter grades and your sat scores. and then the colleges accept you *mostly* based on your grades for junior year. that doesnt mean you can slack off though. if a college accepts you and finds out you failed a couple of classes or something then can easily reject you. dont stress, go talk to your advisor. it sounds like you need to get some basic info on the process :)

Most colleges realize that some schools end after the dead line to apply. Send anything that they require if you have it but as for your final grades, they will be expecting those later anyway. Go ahead and get your ACT/SAT’s out of the way asap so you can take them multiple times to maximize your score (if you haven’t already). Don’t worry though, the scores you can submit are ACT/SAT and your fall grades while your spring grades will have to wait until your done with school, but colleges will expect this.

You need to go online and take a look at the application process. Fill out as much as you can and they will probably ask for any additional records. Also, call the admissions office at the schools you apply to as much as possible. In my experiences for such a large impact on ones life it’s necessary to check, double check, and continue to check to ensure everything is as it should. As strange as it sounds people are fallible and don’t always offer the correct advice. I strongly suggest doing a lot of the research for the application process yourself to ensure you’re able to have the best possible chance. Good luck!
